AT&T U-Verse customers will be pleased to learn that today they have access to new content on their iPhone and iPad. The WatchESPN app was previously available to most that subscribe to an ESPN package, but up until today AT&T U-Verse subscribers were not included. With update to version 1.6.6 today, U-Verse customers can now access live streaming feeds from ESPN3 directly from within the universal iOS app for iPhone and iPad.
ESPN3 is just a group of internet based channels that ESPN provides, and access to it is dictated by your internet provider.
Watching ESPN3 requires a subscription to a TV provider – this is where the money comes in – you need to be an existing customer of a satellite or cable provider that is already a reseller of ESPN special live TV service. The provider is paying ESPN and we the viewers pay the providers. ESPN has a deal with several providers including AT&T's Uverse which provides our Internet and Directv which provides our TV. There is a small group of Live channels you can watch via your browser on a PC by just signing in to Uverse.com.
ESPN3 is one of those channels. You must have a U-verse High Speed Internet (we do have this)
and/or a U-verse TV. Using your laptop, just logged in and eventually got to live espn3 program schedule for currently broadcasting programs. Several shows at the same time were listed on ESPN3 so it is multi-show capable. Click on anything in that list and after a short loading time you're watching live streaming. During the loading there are pictorial and commercial type things appearing on screen.
More great TV content is available on iOS devices today for AT&T U-Verse subscribers. The FOX Now iPhone and iPad app, which provides access to latest episodes from popular FOX shows like Family Guy, American Dad, and Hell's Kitchen, was updated today providing access to both AT&T U-Verse and Suddenlink subscribers. The app also gets a bunch of new features including automatic full screen for videos, a streamlined universal navigation drawer, filters, and much more.
U-verse TV subscription can now stream live events and programming from ESPN3 from the convenience of their computers, smartphones, tablets or Xbox. Additionally, customers can enjoy ESPN Goal Line and ESPN Buzzer Beater through WatchESPN when those channels are in season.
For AT&T U-verse TV subscribers, life just got a little better. If you're wondering why those monthly fees are so high, no doubt a solid chunk of 'em are headed to ESPN. But now, AT&T is joining the Watch ESPN fray, giving U-verse TV patrons the ability to stream live ESPN channels on the go via the Web, mobile, or app. Oh, and through Xbox LIVE for Gold members. Just weeks ahead of the start of the MLB season and in advance of major sporting events like The Masters and NBA Playoffs, customers who receive ESPN's linear networks as part of their AT&T U-verse TV subscription can now stream live events and programming from ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3 and ESPNU from the convenience of their computers, smartphones, tablets or Xbox. Additionally, customers can enjoy ESPN Goal Line and ESPN Buzzer Beater through WatchESPN when those channels are in season.
Customers with a supported smartphone or tablet can download the free app by visiting the iTunes App Store, Google Play Store or Amazon Appstore for Android. The app will prompt customers to enter their AT&T U-verse subscriber credentials before accessing live content from WatchESPN. On computers, customers can visit http://watchespn.com/activate/att and provide their AT&T U-verse IDs and passwords to access live programming online. Additionally, Xbox LIVE Gold members can download the ESPN experience and verify their subscription for access through their Xbox.
As the full frame DSLR market grows ever-more crowded though - Canon, Nikon and Sony each offer at least two full frame models - the appeal of the 6D may well rest on things like handling and feature set. While Canon obviously needs to maintain clear distinctions between the 6D and the pricier 5D Mark III, the challenge is to offer enough incentive for current EOS owners who lack a substantial lens investment to resist the similarly priced and slightly higher-resolution Nikon D600 and great for wedding photos .
Heres what Stephen Wayda had to say " Although the Canon 6D has now been out for almost two years, I never had a chance to review it. Since the new Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art series lens was initially available only for the Canon mount, I requested the Canon 6D with the lens from our trusted partner B&H Photo Video. My aim was to review both, as I had been planning to review the 6D for a long time now. Ever since I reviewed the Canon 5D Mark III, our readers have been asking us to test out other Canon DSLRs, including the 6D. So this was a good opportunity to catch up, although quite late." Well, better late than never, I guess! Instead of covering everything in much detail though, I will be mostly summing things up based on my three month experience with the camera and feedback from others – I don't think there is a need to spend a lot of time on this, especially after the camera has been in the market for so long and reviewed by so many people. Heres what Gina Geigley had to say "The Canon 6D is the world's second-best DSLR regardless of price, right behind the very similar Canon 5D Mark III. If you're in the market for a full-frame DSLR for ultimate technical quality and super-fast autofocus for action, but don't want to pay extra for (or carry the weight of) the 5D Mark III, the 6D is about 95% of the 5D Mark III for a lot less money. I own both, and see and feel very little difference between them"
The CMOS sensor found in the Canon 6D is nearly identical to the one found in the Canon 5D Mark III – quality is the same. Pixel-level detail of this CMOS full-frame sensor is capable of producing incredibly detailed images with beautiful color. I have printed large format prints from the 6D, up to 40×60, and the level of detail and color rendition is excellent. Just as important as image quality is, however, is pre-visualization and getting the right information on the sensor. Image quality is only as good as visual quality! : ) More on DSLR cameras
